Party Time!

I recently attended the Red Cedar Award Gala in my hometown of Vancouver, B.C.

I had a great time listening to kids read their persuasive essays for the nominated books! The skits were very entertaining and the artwork was delightful, but what impressed me the most was how enthusiastic and amazing the kids were in front of a microphone and an audience of 150+!

Yes, they were as good as they looked!

Hello, Sunshine!

I’m pleased to announce that Athlete vs Mathlete has been nominated for Florida’s Sunshine State Young Reader Award for 2015-2016!

Connecting with Readers

I love hearing from readers!

I was really pleased to receive these photos of  Elisabetta, on and off the ice.

She’s from my home province of British Columbia and a fan of the Nugget McDonald hockey series.

We Have a Winner!

Congratulations to Margrit!

Thank you to all who participated in the contest. The correct answer was a whopping 38,387 points!

Time for a Contest!

I recently met Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and I thought an autographed book by an NBA legend might be something my readers would like to win!

So, to win an autographed copy of “Sasquatch in the Paint” and an autographed copy of any one of my books, please write to tell me the number of points Kareem scored in his career.

In honor of Kareem’s retired number 33, the thirty-third answer I receive will be the winner. Good Luck!

Time-Out & Scholastic

Time-Out will be available through Scholastic Book Clubs in March, 2015!

Francais! (French!)

Line Change – the second book in the Nugget McDonald series – will be published in French this December.

Who Dat?

I’m delighted to report that Athlete vs Mathlete has been nominated for the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Award for 2016!
